The commissioner of the BRO remarked in the newsletter that B&RI is a long-term initiative that encompasses participation from different sectors in Hong Kong, including but not limited to chambers of commerce, professional associations, SMEs, and even start-ups. Hong Kong businesses should take the initiative to grasp B&R openings and expand internationally. He added that the Hong Kong Government will continue its endeavor to consolidate Hong Kong’s position as the prime platform and a key link for the B&RI by leveraging our strengths.
The Newsletter highlighted major events of the BRO from 2019 to 2020, such as the 4th Belt and Road Summit in Hong Kong in September 2019. Adding on the event highlights, the newsletter presented cases of how chambers of commerce, professional associations, and various business sectors can seek and seize the vibrant business opportunities along the Belt and Road, with additional support from their research.
