Dr. Ma Jun, Chairman and President of HKGFA, joined the HKSAR high-level delegation led by the Chief Executive and the six Secretaries of Department and Directors of Bureaux, at the third Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation in Beijing on 17-18 October 2023.
This year also marks the 10th anniversary of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI). The high-level 70-strong HKSAR delegation comprising senior government officials, members from political and business sectors, public bodies, large enterprises, as well as professional services, innovation and technology, and cultural sectors, showcased Hong Kong’s commitment to contribute to the joint development of the BRI.
The HKSAR delegation took the opportunity to highlight Hong Kong’s distinctive advantages on various fronts, including our role as a premier platform for green finance and green technology that serves the green transformation in the Mainland, the region and the world. In his opening remarks, President Xi highlighted the priority of promoting green and low-carbon development. In contributing to this, Hong Kong can play a key role in connecting Mainland China and the Belt and Road countries by deepening cooperation and capacity building on green investment.
HKGFA will continue to promote this important agenda in various aspects with our member organizations and the business community.
