You are cordially invited to join the 2021 Annual Conference of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area Green Finance Alliance (GBA-GFA) on 17 September (Friday) from 9 am to 5:30 pm Hong Kong Time virtually.

The GBA-GFA is a collaboration between the Hong Kong Green Finance Association (HKGFA), the Green Finance Committee of Financial Society of Shenzhen Special Economic Zone (SZGFC), the Green Finance Committee of Guangdong Society for Finance and Banking (GDGFC), the Macau Association of Banks, China Emissions Exchange (Shenzhen), and China Emissions Exchange (Guangzhou). The Alliance aims to promote research and incubating green investments that will benefit the GBA by leveraging the vast green investment demand in Guangdong and Shenzhen and green finance capacities in Hong Kong and Macau.
The Annual Conference will start with opening remarks from local government leaders including Mr. Zhang Xin, Vice Governor of People’s Government of Guangdong Province, and Mr. Paul Chan Mo-po, Financial Secretary of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. Followed by Greater Bay Area Green Finance Alliance Green Finance Related Projects and Achievement Exhibition, with green finance experts sharing the latest green finance development in the Greater Bay Area and showcasing key projects update on the Green Buildings Opportunities and The Greater Bay Area Deep Decarbonisation Pathway and Transition Financing Opportunity projects that are led by Hong Kong, and 5 other projects led by other regions.
Four roundtables moderated by green finance experts aims to deepen the dialogue on GBA inter-government collaborations, Green and Sustainable Finance Collaborative Opportunities in the Greater Bay Area, Greater Bay Area Environmental Information Disclosure Standards and Best Practices and Accelerating Green and Low Carbon Technology Development through Green Private Equity and Venture Capital.
Our honorary guests, Mr Christopher Hui Ching-yu, Secretary for Financial Services and the Treasury of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region; Ms Grace Hui, Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited will join in these discussions and along with mainland local governments and regulators.
