You are cordially invited to Earth Forum 2023: “Empowering Sustainable Finance: Leverage Fintech to Examine ESG and Combat Greenwashing”, co-hosted by Friends of the Earth (HK) and Financial Services Development Council, on April 21 (Fri), 14:00-16:00, at Cyberport.

The Hong Kong government and the financial industry have been actively promoting green and sustainable finance development in recent years. With its rise however also comes with an increasing risk of greenwashing claims, which erodes investor trust in ESG reporting and hinders Hong Kong’s pursuit to become the top green finance hub. Blockchain, artificial intelligence, Internet of Things, and other fintech tools can help improve the transparency and accountability of ESG reporting.

Is the Hong Kong ready to embrace these tools to support and promote green and sustainable finance? How will Hong Kong stand out and strengthen its position as the leading international green finance centre? The forum will bring together regulators, investors, researchers and fintech practitioners to explore and answer these questions.
