Hong Kong Chief Executive Carrie Lam’s latest Policy Address places strong focus on meeting Hong Kong’s 10-year public housing supply and achieving carbon neutrality before 2050. This is expected to create huge opportunities for Hong Kong’s green buildings and the sustainable finance sector.
To identify the necessary steps and guide the building industry to decarbonize, and maximize sustainable finance opportunities in Hong Kong, Civic Exchange is releasing two reports on Buildings Policy Decarbonization and Green Building Rating Systems Energy Benchmarking, under a green building project collaboration between HK2050 is Now and the Greater Bay Area Green Finance Alliance (GBA-GFA) lead by Hong Kong Green Finance Association (HKGFA). The two reports are Decarbonizing Hong Kong Buildings Policy Recommendations and Next Steps and Green Building Rating Systems Energy Benchmarking Study.
The webinar will discuss and elaborate on the key findings of the two reports, to lead Hong Kong, especially the green building sector, on the pathway of decarbonisation. Green building experts are also invited to share their insights on how the industry can contribute to the net-zero target.
