In responding to the Hong Kong government and the community for taking pre-emptive measures to limit the spread of the coronavirus to Hong Kong, and in the best interest of our speakers and guests, please note that the Green Week will be postponed. We will announce the new date in due course. Stay healthy!
The Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA), the People’s Bank of China (PBC) and Hong Kong Green Finance Association (HKGFA) are pleased to announce the Mainland-Hong Kong Green Finance Cooperation Forum.
We expect over 300 participants from policy, industry, finance and civil society to join us on the day with ideas, insights and action plans. The key themes of the Forum are to discuss the role of green finance in supporting more sustainable economic development and countering the risks of climate change, with a focus on how institutions in Mainland China and Hong Kong could better collaborate. In particular, joint efforts to enhance greater connectivity in Greater Bay Area on green finance will bring enormous opportunities and create win-win outcomes.
To register your interest to take part, please complete the registration form and send it to green_conference@hkma.gov.hk by 10 February 2020. A confirmation will be sent to you by email once approved by the joint organisers. The conference will be conducted in Mandarin, with simultaneous translation services available.
During the week, HKMA will collaborate with strategic partners to organise a “Green Week” comprising a series of events, to discuss and spur ideas and solutions to tackle climate change risk and mobilise finance to support the transition towards a sustainable economy. The Mainland-Hong Kong Green Finance Cooperation Forum is just one of them. More details on the other events to be held in Green Week will be made available on the IFFO webpage. Please stay tuned for more details.
We look forward to the active participation of HKGFA members!
