This year’s theme “Our Planet: Too Big To Fail” is based on the successful Netflix documentary Our Planet, which shows the immense value of nature to the economy, the scale of the challenges we face, and the critical role that business can play. It also focuses on the crucial role the finance sector plays, by exploring the risks of inaction, the impact of investing-as-usual, and the role the finance sector can play in powering a sustainable future.

The screening will be followed by a panel discussion by leaders from the corporate, finance and conservation fields, who will explore ways these sectors can collaborate for a sustainable future where humanity and nature thrive. The summit’s afternoon session will recognise our business partners from the Corporate Membership Programme (CMP), Low-carbon Office Operations Programme (LOOP), and Low Carbon Manufacturing Programme (LCMP), who collectively, avoid tens of thousands tonnes in carbon emissions each year.

The panel speakers are drawn from corporate, finance, and conservation fields, and will explore ways these sectors can collaborate for a sustainable future where people and nature thrive. There is a pivotal role for the finance sector and this summit will explore the risks of inaction, the impact of investing as-usual, and the practical role the finance sector can play in powering a sustainable future.
