Alice Suen is currently Head of Sustainable Finance, Commercial Banking, Hong Kong, HSBC. She is responsible for driving the ESG agenda among the Bank’s business customers, including developing fit-for-purpose products and proposition, enhancing business customer’s awareness and understanding towards ESG, supporting clients in the development of sustainability and transition strategies, and assisting them in disclosure to gain better access to financial markets.
Having worked in the financial services industry for almost 20 years, Ms Suen has a wealth of experience across frontline relationship management, business strategy, and people management. She has a dedicated focus on Greater China Business, and she has previously worked in Shanghai and the Greater Bay Area.
Outside of her professional career, Ms Suen is an enthusiast in ESG-related volunteering activities. She has also run full marathons for charity and completed a trek in Indian Himalayas to raise fund for social and environmental causes. She is now a mentor in HKSAR’s Strive and Rise Mentoring Programme supporting junior secondary students from under-privileged family.
Ms Suen graduated from University of Toronto, Rotman School of Management, with a Bachelor Degree in Commerce.
