HKGFA In Support of the So French So Innovative Seminar


HKGFA is pleased to support and moderate two sessions at the So French So Innovative seminar on 15 April 2024 organised by the French Foreign Trade Advisors in Hong Kong together with the French Consulate General, Business France and the French Chamber in Hong Kong at InnoEX launched by the HKSARG and HKTDC. The seminar aims to address the importance of both green tech and green finance in accelerating the transition to net zero by 2050 in different sectors.

Ms. Jenny Lee, HKGFA Deputy Secretary General, moderated the session on Green Tech featuring keynote speech by Mr. Laurent Pelettier from Veolia and a panel discussion with Mr. Romain Voisin from Credit Agricole CIB, Mr. John Liu from Schneider Electric Hong Kong, and Ms. Lashare Chen from HongKe to provide insights on Financial Institutions’ role and best practices in driving the development of greener energy production and consumption in Asia, Schneider’s energy management and analytics solutions in helping organisations enhancing their sustainability efforts across portfolio and Hongdrax/Codra partnership in helping address data management challenges in different Chinese cities.

Consecutively, Mr. Tsun Chen, HKGFA Secretary General, moderated another session on Construction and Engineering featuring Mr. Fayette Etienne from Bouygues Construction together with Mr. Chris Lee from BYME and Mr. Venetz Christian from VSL-Intrafor as keynote speakers. He was then joined by fellow panelists Ms. Pascaline Hayoun from Saint-Gobain, Mr. Leo Li from Egis, and Mr. Eli Konvitz from Urban Land Institute HK to explore opportunities in eco-friendly construction materials, strategies of having localized manufacturing and fostering closer collaboration to promote sustainable innovation and adoption in the built environment.

HKGFA will continue to promote dialogue and knowledge exchange in different sectors’ sustainability strategies and resources needed to achieve net-zero.
