Mrs. Sally Wong, HKGFA Vice President and Sustainability – related Disclosures, Policy and Standards Working Group Co-chair, also the CEO of Hong Kong Investment Funds Association spoke at the HK01 ESG and Smart Living Forum, Commendation Ceremony 2023, organised on 30 June.
Sally shared at the panel on ESG business strategy (緊握綠色先機運籌 ESG 營商戰略) that there has been a significant climb in the percentage of ESG public funds offered by the China Securities Commission, indicating that ESG is becoming mainstream, driven by demands from clients, institutional investors, and pension funds, etc. as well as increasing focus and concern from global regulators.
Under the Sustainability–related Disclosures, Policy, and Standards Working Group, HKGFA will continue to engage members in regulatory and policy consultation, and provides a collective voice to the relevant policymakers, as well as our capacity building efforts to promote ESG awareness in the business community.
