The HKGFA was invited by Workiva, Amazon Web Services (AWS) and ERM to participate in a fruitful panel discussion on Wednesday (11 October) highlighting the importance of data transparency and credibility which promotes stability and financing opportunities to support the property sector in their transition and achieving ESG targets.

Ms Jenny Lee, HKGFA’s Deputy Secretary General, shared about our initiatives in driving a vibrant green and sustainable finance ecosystem through five working groups, and the plans to support the advancement of a green tech, data and infrastructure ecosystem in Hong Kong.

Together with fellow panellists Mr Patrick Ho from Swire Properties and Ms Antonia Yeung from The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong, the discussion centered on the increasing need for capacity building and talent nurturing through partnership, knowledge sharing throughout the supply chain, and the role of technology, certifications and frameworks as an enabler to accelerating sustainable finance in the built environment.
