HKGFA is proud to pledge our support and sign the Gender Finance Charter of the UNDP Financial Centres for Sustainability (FC4S), launched on 26 September at the FC4S AGM 2023 in Dublin. Our Vice President, Mr. Ben McQuhae attended the AGM and discussed the FC4S SDG Investment Pipeline Building program and FC4S Assessment Programme. The AGM is also attended by the signatories to the FC4S Gender Charter and Dr. Jennifer Carroll MacNeill, Ireland’s Minister of State at the Department of Finance, with responsibility for Financial Services, Credit Unions and Insurance.
The Gender Finance Charter defines ten fundamental principles that offer a pragmatic and actionable framework to encourage fostering gender equality and diversity within organizations and become champions of financial education as a potent means to empower women.
HKGFA will work closely with our members and partners throughout 2024 to advance gender equality in the realm of sustainable finance while strengthening our continuous collaborations with FC4S to collectively achieve the objectives set by the 2030 Agenda and the Paris Agreement.
