Dr. MA Jun
Chairman of the Green Finance Committee, China Society for Finance and Banking; President of Institute of Finance and Sustainability; Co-Chairman of the G20 Sustainable Finance Study Group

Dr. Ma Jun is currently the Chairman of the Green Finance Committee, China Society for Finance and Banking, President of Institute of Finance and Sustainability, Co-Chairman of the G20 Sustainable Finance Study Group, and the former member of the Monetary Policy Committee of the People’s Bank of China. As a leader in the field of green and sustainable finance, Dr. Ma Jun also serves as the sustainable finance special adviser of the United Nations Environment Programme, Chairman of the regulatory working group of NGFS, the Director of Beijing Green Finance Association, the Director of Hong Kong Green Finance Association, and many other public welfare duties.

From 2017 to 2020, Dr. Ma Jun served as the Director of the Research Center of Finance and Development, Tsinghua University National Institute of Financial Research. During his tenure as Chief Economist of the Research Bureau of the People’s Bank of China from 2014 to 2017, Dr. Ma Jun led the drafting of the Guidance of Green Finance in China and promoted the formation of a global green finance consensus under the G20 platform. From 2000 to 2013, he served as Chief Economist, Head of China and Hong Kong Strategy, and Managing Director of Greater China at Deutsche Bank. From 1992 to 2000, he served as a senior economist at the World Bank and an economist at the International Monetary Fund. From 1988 to 1990, he worked as a research fellow at the Development Research Center of the State Council of China. Dr. Ma Jun has published more than a dozen books and hundreds of articles on macroeconomic, monetary policy, environmental economics and green finance.

Dr. Ma Jun received his Master’s degree in Management from Fudan University in 1988, and he received his PhD. in Economics from Georgetown University in 1994.

As Head of Sustainable Capital Markets Asia Pacific, Chaoni leads BNP Paribas’ sustainable finance solutions across asset classes for corporates, financial institutions and investors. Leading a growing Sustainable Capital Markets team and working with Global Markets, Capital Markets Group and coverage teams in Asia Pacific and the Bank’s global sustainable finance community, Chaoni drives BNP Paribas’ continued expansion and leadership in Asian sustainable capital markets.

Chaoni is an industry veteran with over 15 years of experience in sustainable finance having held various ESG-related roles at Natixis, S&P Trucost, MSCI and the United Nations. In addition to her role at BNP Paribas, Chaoni is also highly involved in the forwarding Asia’s ESG agenda through driving the development of sustainable finance ecosystems, education and advocacy in the region. Tracy Wong Harris is the Head of Sustainable Finance for Asia at Standard Chartered Bank, focusing on the Bank’s sustainable finance strategy, by developing new products and solutions, further incorporating ESG considerations into banking decisions, and identifying sustainable finance opportunities for clients. Tracy is also the Executive Vice President of Hong Kong Green Finance Association (HKGFA), an appointed Policy Research Committee member of Financial Services Development Council (FSDC) and Senior Advisor to the Green Building Project of HK2050isNow.

Prior to joining Standard Chartered, Tracy had been driving the green and sustainable finance development in Hong Kong and had over 20 years of financial markets experiences across various fixed income and complex structured products in JPMorgan, Mizuho International, Barclays Capital and BNP Paribas based in London and Hong Kong.

Jonathan Drew

Jonathan Drew, Head of Global Banking Sustainability, Asia-Pacific at HSBC.  Jonathan graduated with an MA in Economics from Cambridge University in England and is also qualified as a Chartered Accountant.  Jonathan started his banking career more than 30 years ago in London and has worked in a diverse range of markets including Latin America and the Middle East has been based in Hong Kong since 1997 witnessing first-hand the rapid growth of Asia.  During this time, he has been involved successful advisory and financing transactions across a wide range of industrial and services sectors including energy, manufacturing, transportation, infrastructure and financial services, with a focus on resource efficiency and sustainability. These transactions have involved supporting projects, corporates and institutions to approach various financial markets and structuring innovative and tailored solutions to meet the often large and always specific needs of clients. Dr. Kang Qu
Managing Director of Sustainability Strategy, Bank of China (Hong Kong) Limited

Dr. Kang Qu is Managing Director of Sustainability Strategy Bank of China (Hong Kong). He also holds the role of Deputy General Manager in Economics & Strategic Planning Department of Bank of China (Hong Kong) and Hong Kong Financial Research Institute of Bank of China.

Dr. Qu joined Bank of China in London in 2006 to head the research and strategic planning team, overseeing macro-economic research of the EMEA region and leading ESG strategy planning and implementation for Bank of China’s business in the UK. Dr Qu also represented the bank in different international sustainability organizations.  Dr. Qu is a Member of Directors of the China International Finance Society and a member of the Data Working Group led by the Hong Kong Monetary Authority.

Mr. Kenny Shui currently holds the position of Vice President and Co-Head of Research at Our Hong Kong Foundation (OHKF) and leads policy research across diverse fields including economic and technological development, green finance, fintech, and social innovation. Under his leadership, his research team has published market-leading reports to promote Hong Kong’s advancement in areas such as Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG), Green Bonds, Greater Bay Area finance, and Central Bank Digital Currency. Kenny’s expertise is widely acclaimed, as evidenced by his frequent invitations to speak at both global and local forums, and by his opinion articles being regularly featured in newspapers.
Before his tenure at OHKF, Mr. Shui conducted research for the Hong Kong Monetary Authority and the Census and Statistics Department. He holds a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Mathematics and a Master of Philosophy in Economics from The Chinese University of Hong Kong. Chief Executive Officer, Hong Kong Investment Funds Association

Sally Wong is the Chief Executive Officer of the Hong Kong Investment Funds Association, which is a non-profit-making organization that represents the asset management industry in Hong Kong.  She represents the industry in liaising with the authorities, media and other stakeholder groups to discuss issues that have implications to the Hong Kong mutual fund market and the Mandatory Provident Fund (“MPF”) Schemes market.  She also takes an active role in investor education and research initiatives.

Jenny is the Deputy Secretary General for Hong Kong Green Finance Association (HKGFA), primarily responsible for driving green and sustainable finance initiatives across its eight working groups, leading private and public sector, regulator, and government stakeholder engagement to enhance Hong Kong’s position as a leading sustainable finance center. Jenny contributes to the Centre for Green and Sustainable Finance capacity building and data analytics workstreams, and co-created the HKGFA – HKUST Certificate in Sustainable Finance. Andra Chow
Associate, Hong Kong Green Finance Association (HKGFA)

Andra Chow is a Secretariat team member of the Hong Kong Green Finance Association (HKGFA). In this capacity, she supports the development of educational training and capacity building on green and sustainable finance that brings together government, regulatory bodies and the private sector to make tangible progress toward net zero transition locally and throughout the Greater Bay Area.

Andra has a wealth of hands-on experience in sustainability projects and event management. From 2020 to 2022, Andra was a project executive at the Hong Kong Social Enterprise Summit (HKSES), dedicated to fostering cross-sector partnerships to facilitate social innovation and entrepreneurship for positive change. Before working at SES, Andra worked as an intern at the United Nations Project Office on Governance in 2019 and the United Nations Office for Sustainable Development in 2018, both located in South Korea. During this time, she conducted research projects to assess developing member states’ policymaking for sustainable development and to identify their needs and solutions concerning the UN’s sustainable development goals.

Andra’s work on project and event management at HKGFA, HKSES and the UN has allowed her to connect with sustainability professionals and entrepreneurs worldwide and to engage in diverse environmental, social and governance (ESG) solutions to contemporary problems.  Notably, she became a certified ESG Planner (CEP®) in 2022.

Andra holds a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology from Simon Fraser University in Canada. During her undergraduate years, she worked as a research assistant on a social science project exploring the barriers to social integration for Asian minorities in Canada.
