Dr. Ma Jun, chairman of Hong Kong Green Finance Association & China Green Finance Committee, and Tracy Wong Harris, Deputy Secretary General of Hong Kong Green Finance Association attended the Green Finance Regulatory Meeting hosted by the Securities & Future Commission of Hong Kong on the 9th May 2019.

This meeting was attended by participants who are in a position to influence the future direction of green finance development and cooperation, across mainland China, the European Union, Hong Kong and the Financial Stability Board’s Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD).

The discussion covered recent policy developments in green finance from their jurisdictions, lessons learned, inter-agency and cross-border cooperation to develop green finance, trends as well as other international initiatives that are (or will be) of particular importance to major financial markets in mainland China, the European Union and Hong Kong.

Dr. Ma discussed how mainland China, the European Union and Hong Kong can strengthening high-level cooperation on green finance on green taxonomies and disclosure at the meeting.
